The Zodiac Series: Capricorn

Guardian of the AngelsCyndi Redding
Kurt Conrad is happy with his life. He’s single, has a close-knit family and is successful. If his job is not all that exciting, and he sometimes longs for something he cannot define, well, that’s life. Whilst on his way to visit his parents, whom he misses and does not see nearly as much of as he would like, his car breaks down. Luckily, he can see a farmhouse in the distance, so heads in that direction with the intention of phoning for help. Once he reaches the residence, he finds an enchanting young woman who is unlike any other female he has ever known. Becky Morgan is openly innocent and naive, and Kurt has never been more attracted to anyone in his life. He knows he must see her again, but for now he leaves her behind, only to return time and again, unable to get her off his mind. Yet, there is something unexplainable about her and her entire family. He can’t put his finger on it, but they are different, somehow. Just how they are dissimilar is something Kurt will need to find out, but how will he react once he does?

Written In The StarsLarissa Lyons
Dr. Charles Manning spends most of his time in a laboratory, working. He is an astronomer, who rarely takes time off work. Even the month’s vacation he has taken to travel to Hawaii is work oriented. The whole point of the trip is to be interviewed for a job opening at a different facility, one with better equipment than his current workplace. Since he has a fear of flying, he is going by boat. On a cruise, to be more exact. On setting out, he could not have foreseen that this trip would change his life. His attraction to Aurora is unlike any he has ever previously experienced. His mind cannot focus on anything else when in her presence, though at first she seems unreceptive to his advances. Even when she is not with him, it is definitely not a case of out of sight out of mind. Just what is to happen between this unlikely pair?

The Zodiac series has once again spawned a fabulous duet. This pair of tales will surely not disappoint any romance readers, least of all the Zodiac followers. I could not imagine how either would end, which is great as it kept me in the dark. I didn’t know how the characters would work past the obstacles in their way, and believe me these obstacles are big ones. All of the lead characters are very likeable, but there are other characters that you’ll find yourself liking, too. For me, the three elderly sisters on the Hawaiian cruise who hound Charles are great and brought a smile to my face many a time. Both tales are engaging and a little out of the ordinary. There is sex in both stories, but whilst it is described it is not done explicitly. The build up to the encounters between the characters was a joy to read. These tales are truly wonderful, and if you are not yet a fan of Ms. Redding or Ms. Lyons, you will be upon reading these!
