Easy

During the evening when some of us are at home sleeping soundly in our beds, others are surviving on the streets, being used for their bodies. This story highlights the life of one street urchin. Steven James Sanger called Stevie by his friends or Sunshine by the men who want to purchase his luminous smile and youthful body. After a horrible night at the hands of a ruthless john, Stevie finds himself saved by Dan Corazon. Once he ensures he has the medical attention he needs, Dan offers Stevie a safe place to lay his head and a new home to live in until he’s able to get on his feet. Dan understands some people don’t have a great start because of his own rough time after the death of his parents. Having lived since his teenaged years hiding his own sexuality, he’s unprepared for his immediate attraction to the burst of light Stevie brings into his life. Starting anew is not as easy as either would hope as Dan tries to come to terms with his homosexuality and Stevie deals with a past that isn’t quite willing to let him go yet.

Let me wipe the sweat from my brow!! This was an emotional story that suffocates you with its overwhelming intensity. Full of sadness but overflowing with hope, compassion and overall great people, Easy is a contradiction of terms to say the least. Stevie a young man so full of life and love even with his harsh existence and the pains he’s experienced made me smile and brought out a protectiveness I usually limit to my own son. Stevie is a young man that didn’t allow life and the ruthless people in it to break his spirit no matter how close they came to succeeding. I always hope when reading a story that the couple in it will fit, Dan is was just the right guy for Stevie. Hang-ups and all he was still there for him even when he couldn’t voice with words the feelings he had and was unsure on how to deal with his own insecurities. It is so refreshing to see a softer and caring side to male/male romances that humanizes the relationships they share and shows us we are all the same no matter who we choose to love. A great story, that will cause many a reader to shed a tear but one that will leave all fulfilled.

Slight warning, there is some sexual violence but if fits the storyline and isn’t done for pure shock value. Kudos to Mrs. Blue for her professionalism in creating a thought provoking and sensual tale while ensuring she remains true to the world she’s writing about.
