Cascadia Wolves: Enforcer
Nina Reyes has spent most of her life cleaning up after her brother. Now that he’s become a werewolf in a random bar fight he hasn’t changed at all, well except for the full moon. When he shows up at her door stating that The Pack is going to kill him because of something he may or may not have seen, she thinks it’s just another mess for her to clean up. When he leaves and a gorgeous hunk of a man turns up on her doorstep demanding to know where her brother has gone, Nina finds herself embroiled in werewolf politics.
Lex Warden was trying to find Rey when he went to Rey’s sister’s house. What he found there made the wolf in him stand at attention. A tightly wound school marm shoves a shotgun into your groin, most men would run, but when that man’s a werewolf he sees her as a potential mate. As a plot reaching the highest circles of The Pack’s hierarchy unravels, he cannot keep his mind or his hands off of Nina. Can a woman with a past put it behind her and look to the future?
I was blown away by the world that Lauren Dane created in Cascadia Wolves: Enforcer. The characters, the hierarchy of The Pack, and the intricacy of the world itself was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Nina Reyes was the perfect mix of moxy and insecurity. Lex Warden was absolutely too yummy to believe. He was willing to do whatever he could to ensure her happiness. ‘Watching’ these two interact was fun and Ms. Dane’s phrasing made me laugh out loud a few times. I cannot wait until the next book in her series comes out. I gladly give Cascadia Wolves: Enforcer a Recommended Read rating and two thumbs up to Ms. Dane for a fantastic book.
