Mara has once again been whisked away by her father in order to keep her safe from his enemies. Her father just happened to get himself exiled to an island leaving Mara with no one to share her time with. Living within her fantasies, Mara imagines a handsome man, maybe two of them fighting for a chance, in claiming her. Tiran isn’t very happy when his brother, Poseidon, decides to challenge Tiran for her. Tiran has been watching and dreaming of this red-haired sand maiden since he first noticed her and now Poseidon is willing to fight for the right to have her. In order to live out his deepest desires with Mara, he must show himself to her and that is strictly forbidden by Atlantean law. Poseidon steps in and challenges Tiran for Mara and Tiran is left with no option by to fight for what he wants. Will Tiran or Poseidon win Mara’s affections? What will happen if it is discovered that Tiran and Poseidon have made contact with a human?

More Than A Fantasy is a wonderful short story with an imaginative plot, a delightful heroine, and two very intoxicating males. Mara is trapped in a world she doesn’t want to be in. Tiran is an honorable man, even though he lives below the water, who desperately wants to protect and rescue Mara. Poseidon is a risk-taker, thrill-seeker who goes after what he sees. The tender passion that Mara finds in the arms of the winner is heartfelt. Although this story is a quick read, this reader enjoyed it tremendously. Bernadette Gardner has created a unique story centered around the desire to have your fantasy come true and what a wonderful experience it can be when it does. 4 Angels!
