Whisper
After her boyfriend’s insane jealousy drove him to attack her, Eden Trinity knew she needed to try and build a new life, one away from the pain of remembering a man she thought she loved could beat her, rape her and blind her. Now that Greg is in prison, Eden moves to the small town of Raven’s Cove and buys the local haunted house, Phoenix Cottage. Here she hopes to work on her sculpting, regain her sense of self and just relax. When she begins to feel the presence that others have talked about, she realizes that there just might be something to the haunted house rumor. But strangely enough, she’s comforted by this presence and after she has a vision of the circumstances surrounding his death, she begins to fall for him. But how could anything but pain come from a relationship between them?
Mark Reynard had been trapped in Phoenix Cottage ever since a tragic and violent incident occurred involving his wife and another lover. His anger somehow anchored him to the cottage so that he could somehow get his revenge. But Eden touches something in him and soon he’s eagerly anticipating the evenings where they seek out satisfaction in the only way they can. But once he discovers just how “fate” will allow him his revenge, will he take the chance if it involves endangering Eden?
Adrianna Dane’s Whisper is one story that will give you goosebumps. Eden has definitely had a lot of pain and disappointment in her life. But she’s trying to move on. She wants more for herself than pity, bitterness and anger and knows that she’ll have to learn to live on her own, away from the memories of Greg. As for Mark, he’s been waiting for his chance at revenge. Their encounters are strange and yet compelling, especially the sexual ones! They’re inventive and will definitely raise your body temperature. The plot is fairly complex and will keep your interest right up until the end when it’s all tied up. Enjoy!
