Eat Me

Michelle Simpson has been half in love and in lust with her best friend, Tom Jacobs, for over two decades. She has done all that she can do to get him to notice her – including sending him racy gifts, detailing her sex life and even dating more than her fair share of men in an effort to make him jealous – all to no avail. Determined to have at least one night of hot, raunchy sex with him, she turns to magic. Michelle concocts a lust potion, a mild version of a love potion since she does not want to remove his free will and make him fall in love with her. Tomorrow night, on their shared thirtieth birthday, her dreams will finally come true – in part, anyway. But will all go according to plan?

Tom has been in love with his best friend Michelle for years, but was afraid to make a move in case their friendship would be irreparably damaged. He had come to the conclusion that it was finally time to tell Michelle of his feelings, even before he received her baked cookie with "Eat Me" scrawled on the box. He intends the night to be the best of their life, though burning dinner doesn't exactly start the event off with quite the flair he had planned. Is his love for Michelle the only secret he is keeping from her? Can he convince her that he has loved her all along?

Lacey Savage's Eat Me is a fabulous novella with an enticing and scrumptious mixture of magic, love potions, requited love and yummy baked goods (oh, can't forget the chocolate-covered strawberries!). Eat Me is told from both characters' points of view, allowing the reader the knowledge of how each character feels and the secrets they keep from one another – with the added effect of the reader becoming a co-conspirator of both characters! Simply marvelous! Michelle and Tom are very well developed characters, and ones that you are sure to love and urge on to their ultimate happiness. The chemistry between them is electric, and sex scenes are detailed in full. The story focuses entirely on them, and the plot is so fabulous you will not even miss the absence of any other characters. I have adored Eat Me, and believe that you will when you read it, too.
