Photo Opportunity

Amy Morgan trusts no man – except her long time best friend, Daniel. They have been best friends for seventeen years, and he has been her rock through everything. Amy has had good reason not to trust men. Her father was constantly unfaithful to her mother and eventually left after many years of marriage. The man Amy had loved for two years cheated on her, further engraining her distrust of men. Amy is happy with her life as it is, but only realizes how far her distrust of men goes when Daniel starts putting the moves on her. He has been the one man she has counted on through thick and thin. As a friend, she trusts him with everything she has. As anything more, she has no faith in him, no trust. His past proves he cannot commit to any one woman, and Amy doubts he could commit to her. She is unwilling to risk their friendship for a physical fling. But do her intentions hold out as an attraction flares to life between them?

Photographer Daniel Tanner has loved Amy since their first meeting, but has never pursued her romantically – until now. His most recent work – photographing a children's oncology ward to raise funds for refurbishment – taught him life is short, and he needs to go after what he wants now, full throttle. What he wants, what he has always wanted, is Amy. But he knows how man-shy she is following the betrayal of the two men she should have been able to trust the most, and so masterminds a plan to get her to fall in love with him in an attempt to circumvent her distrust. Everything seems to fall into place. He appears to have captured Amy's heart. But do her fears about being left alone once more, with not even their friendship to sustain her, run deeper than he had thought? Too deep for his love to conquer?

Photo Opportunity is a fairly compelling and touching tale of a man trying to win the heart of the woman he has loved for seventeen years – his best friend. Stacked against him are her fears of abandonment and her distrust in any man when it comes to romantic relationships. For him, his love for her, the willingness of some to help him carry out his plan and her trust in him, gifted by their life long friendship. Amy and Daniel are very well developed characters, and so are many of the secondary characters. Daniel's love and determination to win Amy shine through the telling of this tale, as does Amy's determination not to ruin a friendship she cannot do without in return for a temporary relationship with Daniel. The story is told mainly from Amy's viewpoint, but is also told indepth from Daniel's point of view. The chemistry between them is tangible, and their sexual interludes are described in detail, though not overly graphically nor inclusive of the more daring sex acts. If you are looking for a romance with a hero who knows from the start where his heart lays – and is determined to follow it – then I heartily recommend Photo Opportunity to you. This tale will prove to be everything you are looking for.
