Both Joseph and Eliza work in law. Joseph is open about his alternate life-style and refuses to conform to the ‘normal’ social ideals of the world around him, however Eliza is not so open, and tries to separate her two worlds. During the week she is the honourable Judge Eliza O’Brien, pillar of the community, but during the weekends she completely submits to Joseph, freely and eagerly. Trying to keep the two parts of herself separate becomes harder and harder, until Eliza is left with a decision which could mean losing the love of her life or the respect of the community who frown upon the lifestyle she now finds herself yearning for.

Sequestered Passion has been expertly written and provides a wonderfully insightful look into the BDSM community and the worries that people entering the community for the first time may have. All of the love scenes, including the ones that contain light bondage, have been sensitively done and the whole book makes for a wonderful read.

For those who are not sure about BDSM this would be a superb book to start with, and for those who already enjoy the scene, this book gives a refreshing and unbiased insight into the bridge between both worlds. This is a fantastic book, and I would recommend Adrianna Dane’s work without question.
