Spring Storm

Gwyn Murphy needs to make a ten-minute trip with only five minutes to spare, and she hopes that Rick, the ticket happy trooper, is not sitting in his local spot ready to write her out a ticket. But the quick trip changes the course in her life as she meets her destiny. When an unexpected rain shower arrives, she finds her car headed into a ditch but it isn’t Trooper Rick who comes to her rescue. Trooper Aidan Loughlin is the officer on duty when he views the accident and pulls over to assist Gwyn. Neither knew the intensity the lightning would bring after they met, but the sizzling lightning illuminates the road sending an unending storm. Gwyn and Aidan had no idea that it was part of fate, revealing itself intentionally, drawing them together as one. But as the storm rages on, the heat in their hearts pull them together as they slowly act upon the powerful attraction.

Spring Storm is a different tale that this reader thought enjoyable. I liked the introduction, as a curse slowly unfolds that transforms into present day sending electric sparks to transcend the pages. The chemistry between Gwyn and Aidan springs forth in the pages with a deep intensity that blazes, as they are instantly pulled together. Just like the snap of a finger, Ms. Maher fashions two believable characters that feel an instant magnetism once their eyes gaze upon the other. She creates a tale that has the reader craving more and the addition of the deer made a nice ending for the happy couple. A quaint searing read that is truly enchanting.
