Adrian du Lac is a very old vampire. He is very powerful and always scheming to get more power. He is also very fierce and controlling. He paid for Katerina’s education as a way to control her family’s magic and because he wanted her for his own purpose. He has many enemies whom want him dead. He was surprised to find himself attracted and drawn to her.

Katerina Romanvos is the daughter of witches. For years, she believed she had no magic of her own. She is sweet and totally unaware of all the schemes and plans others haves for her. She spent most of her live at boarding school in America. She resented Adrian for what she sees as the manipulation of her family.

Katerina wanted her family to have nothing to do with Adrian and so when she came home, she tried to pay him back for her education. She was surprised and angry when he refused to take money as repayment but instead wanted her to live with him. Katerina was surprised when she learned that she had powers and angry and resentful when she discovered that Adrian had schemed to get them. Adrian discovered that he wanted Katerina willing in his life and must find a away to convince her to forgive and trust him while protecting her from his enemies who would use her to hurt him.

The Taste of Magic is one of the best books I have read in a long time. Gina Rosavin hooked me from the first page of the book and never let me go until the end. I was totally entertained by the by the see-saw motion of Adrian and Katerina relationship. The Taste of Magic is full of wonderful characters that are not what they seem on the surface, a wonderful plot. The story is full of action, intrigue, laughs and very hot sex scenes.
