Luke Keane and Sy Wooden will help in protecting these human women so they will not be used in a ritual that could bring ultimate evil into the world. Cody assigns each man to the woman that they will most likely be attracted to. Luke is assigned to Crystal who is destined to provide the blood of the ritual. Sy is assigned to Shirley who will be the body of the ritual. Cody took Joanna, the soul of the ritual.

When does a plan ever go as expected? Cody has his hands full with Joanna when she sneaks off to the mountains during a snow storm. Cody is hit by Joanna’s truck and she takes him to the cabin in the mountains. This is where the heat rises and they are attacked by a unique werewolf. Luke shows up for Crystal’s party and dances her socks off, even if he is blind as a bat. Crystal is not too thrilled to have him as a new neighbor. The party was a success and they call it a night. Crystal is in her apartment when there is a power failure and her apartment is broken into and Luke saves the day. Crystal finally accepts her attraction to him and goes for it. Sy has Cody beat him up in front of Shirley and she comes to the rescue. Shirley invites Sy to join one of her self-defense classes for his owe protection. Sy is “wowed” by Shirley and he can not resist the urge to make her his woman. Shirley is called away from her business and is attacked and Sy saves her but he is badly hurt. All three of the women have been attacked and taken from the agents. Cody, Sy, and Luke are on the war path to get them back before it is too late.

Kate Hill has done an awesome job of bringing the readers this hot sizzler of a romance. Cryptic Trysts is one of the best paranormal romances that I have had the chance to read. Ms. Hill has written with such great detail and depth that the characters jump off the pages at the reader. Cryptic Trysts is a part of Ms. Hill’s Ancient Blood series, but it can read alone. Cryptic Trysts is a fabulous read that hooks the reader from the first until the last page. Cody and Joanna may be opposites of each other but opposites do attract. Sy and Shirley are two sides of a whole person with a little bit of stubbornness. Luke and Crystal are the ones that need to take a leap of faith and give love a chance. Ms. Hill is one talented author and she keeps the readers guessing at every turn in her stories. I would recommend this book to every paranormal romance reader out there. Cryptic Trysts is a must have book. Cody and Joanna had me jumping up and down in frustration, Sy and Shirley had me pulling my hair out in anger, Luke and Crystal had me in tears and asking myself why they did what they did. Ms. Hill will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride with Cryptic Trysts. I cannot wait to see what Ms. Hill will have in store for her next book.
