Warrior’s Heart - Gifts of the Ancients: Book One is an excellent beginning to what promises to be a unique and sensual series. Ms. D’Arc has created a cast of interesting, likeable characters. The men portrayed are heroic, loyal, and gorgeous. Hal is a born leader and readers will be instantly drawn to him based on his commitment to friends and family. Cass is tender, bold, and a perfect match for Hal. I thoroughly enjoyed their scenes; they ran the gamut from fun and tender, to passionate and erotically charged. The love scenes are especially well written and are sure to inspire a reaction in readers. I appreciate when an author can convey such varied emotions believably within the context of the plot and still keep the story going. The pacing is consistent, with the paranormal elements blending nicely with the rest of the story. Warrior’s Heart - Gifts of the Ancients: Book One builds to a wonderful conclusion and I am anxiously waiting for the next installment.
