Opposites Attract

Felina Eldridge is fascinated by the man, ahem, werewolf, next door. Talk about an Adonis. Mmm-hmm. Of course, the most they could ever have would be a fleeting (but thoroughly satisfying) physical relationship. For one, Felina is a familiar, destined to aid a witch. For another, Felina is a cat shifter, and everyone knows that cats and dogs (make that wolves) don’t mix. That isn’t stemming her curiosity, though. Or her lust…

Steven Wolfe has been in lust with his next door neighbour since she moved in six months ago. There’s something different about her, though he can’t quite put his finger on it – all thanks to the terrible perfume she cloaks herself in. If it weren’t for that, his nose would soon sniff out her true scent. His lust is rising; his primal instincts are coming to the foreground. How long will it be before his control gives way to his lust? And just what is different about this woman?

Opposites Attract is the third in Marteeka Karland’s Mount Bell series, though I didn’t realize this until I finished reading (I have read the other two, and loved them also). The title is, I am sure you’ll agree, particularly apt, considering the shifter nature of our two leading characters. A cat and a wolf. Who’d have thought? Marteeka Karland and her vivid imagination, obviously. One thing is certainly for sure: Opposites Attract is a delicious and charming novella that is sure to capture your attention and keep you amused (and hot!) the whole way through. Written with great flair, I have enjoyed this novella far more than I have any other for quite some time. The plot flows smoothly, with a twist here and there. The spark between Felina and Steven is electric; the sex scenes are sizzling and sensuous. Brava, Ms. Karland! Enjoyable as always!
