The Wolverine and the Rose
Arianna dreams of finding that one man with whom to share her life, but as long as she stays on the farm she knows that she will never find anyone. One early morning she decides to sneak into town, never realizing the consequences. A mysterious man bestows her with a kiss and gives her a scroll to keep safe, then vanishes, promising to see her again in a few days. When he does appear for the scroll, three men in black armor, known as the Dark Knights follow him. In the blink of an eye, Arianna’s family is killed and she is whisked away by the mysterious man. She learns that Sir Geoffrey is a knight from the Order of the Wolverines and they are headed to the castle to take the scroll to the King. Mysterious things begin to happen to Arianna, and in the middle of everything, she discovers herself falling in love with Geoffrey. Is love enough to stop the Dark Knights from coming after them and taking something most precious? They're after a gift, a gift that Arianna soon learns she is very much a part of.
Sir Geoffrey of Emberdale is a Wolverine, and is very loyal to the King. After he befriends Arianna, he becomes her protector. He takes her to the Castle of Templestone. His mother is there and can comfort Arianna in her loss. He had no idea he would begin showing feelings toward her, nor that there would be something relating them to the past. But when an evil Queen threatens the Kingdom, wishing to steal the important Crystal, can Geoffrey keep his lovely Arianna safe?
The Wolverine and the Rose was full of so much intensity that I was immediately drawn into the story. The scenery and landscape is so vivid it allows you to visualize all the imaginativeness of the setting. With a touch of danger and romance, this book is a page-turner. At times I found myself getting spine-chilling sensations like Arianna. The secondary characters added a delightful blend to the storyline, and the plot was captivating until the thrilling conclusion. This is a true mixture of fantasy and romance that makes you warm all the way to your toes. The passion that Geoffrey and Arianna hold for each other practically jumps from the pages. The imaginations soar with dragons, elves and a love story like no other. You will be caught in the ambience of everything. I want to read more about Cederick! Rebecca Goings has such incredible talent that it is hard to put one of her books down. She creates believability with in-depth characters. Ms. Goings writes with so much magnitude that the reader cannot help but be hooked. This is a tale that will bring a tear to the eye and have your heart leaping for joy. The Wolverine and the Rose is a true masterpiece of fine art and a most Recommended Read! It's also one that I will not soon forget.
