Witches Knot: Thrice United
Holly has grown up without a father and has learned to depend on no one but herself. After her mother’s senseless death she continues on, working and going to school, but so alone that there are times that it overwhelms her. An intriguing customer at the bar she works at turns her life upside down as her eyes are opened to the paranormal world that exists beneath everyone’s noses. With her vampire companions and a lineage draped in mystery Holly’s life will never be the same.
Rhett has been enthralled with the Holly’s scent and as his friend Nate returns and finds himself just as entranced a mythical triad may be forming without any of the participants’ permission. With amazing long lives ahead of them, these two vampire friends must learn to control their inner beasts or destroy what could be the very thing they long to protect. With an evil influence threatening Holly, they need to put aside their alpha tendencies and let their love be all the support Holly needs.
What a fantastic addition to the Witches Knot series. In the other books we got to see the strong women of the Charvez family stand together in whatever was thrown at them. In Thrice United we are given an entirely new view on the power within the Charvez line. I was truly impressed by how Holly was able to stand on her own and how firm she stood in her convictions until her worries were calmed. She did not bend, even against the full weight of the Charvez family. To be alone as long as she was she was understandably wary of others and their promises. Nate and Rhett were just plain yummy, ok, not plain, hot, gooey, beefcake yummy. The differences they brought to the union were perfectly balanced and extremely well written. I say it again, I cannot wait to see what else Lauren Dane has in store for the Charvez family.
