The Magic in Your Touch by Sara Bell is a very touching and heartwarming romance about two men who meet under very difficult circumstances and forge a relationship that will last a lifetime.

We are first introduced to Nathan Morris, a doctor, leaving his office in Reed, Illinois. This town has a reputation for being gay-friendly which is very important since Nathan is gay. Then, as stories go, the unexpected event happens and Nathan is attacked. He manages to set the alarm off before he loses consciousness. Next, we meet his partner Amy and her husband Mike who are very worried about Nathan. Soon, in walks Brandon Nash, the gorgeous, hunky sheriff. Nathan is immediately drawn to Brandon, but was very angry when Brandon asked if he had any enemies. After a confrontation between the two, Brandon tells him that the town elected a “homosexual” for sheriff so a doctor should not be a problem. And there starts a very poignant love story. There are many twists and turns in this story. So many that the reader will not have any idea who is responsible for all the dangerous situations until the very end. The blending of this love story with a ‘who-done-it’ is perfect and holds the reader spellbound. The growing relationship between Nathan and Brandon is beautiful to behold.

The problems with gay-bashing that Nathan and Brandon have can unfortunately be seen in the news in various towns throughout the country today. Books like this are important to inform people that these situations do happen and show what we can do to help prevent them.

This book is a wonderful piece of art that deserves to be read and known for its importance. Ms. Bell needs to be applauded for creating this beautiful work. The Magic in Your Touch is a definite must read! Thank you Ms. Bell for this lovely book!
