What is a woman to do when she is hunting the undead?

Katrina is a vampire hunter who is officially on vacation with her friends—or is she? Katrina is overwhelmed when she meets the elusive and sexy Aleski, but there is something odd about him. Maybe it is the town they are in that seems to keep vampirism ways; going to bed late towards day break and sleeping all day. Katrina’s whole family is vampire hunters, making her despise all vampires good or bad! Whoops! That may cause a problem with her and Aleski getting together…if they can. Do opposites attract?

Aleski is a vampire who fuels Katrina’s desire. Not only that, but there is an evil vampire who is on the loose killing people by drinking them to death. Katrina is out to hunt this evil. Aleski is out to protect Katrina at all costs, as well as preserving the town’s ways by terminating Drago, the evil one! Will Katrina rid the town of all vampires? Or maybe succumb to the heat that surrounds her when she is around Aleski? Can the two meet upon some middle ground or will their pasts come to haunt them?

Having never read a book before by Kari Kincade, I was happy to pick this one up as it was well worth the read. Huntress of Darkness had a new twist to the old vampire read, as it made you look at them as normal human beings who have lives to live as well as protect others from the evils of the world. Enticing with subtle erotic moments the teasers were enticing as my imagination ran with it. Not only does the story seem to have been well written the characters are endearing.

Huntress of Darkness by Kari Kincade is one of those books that you have to read to the very end to finally figure out what happens as you can not guess the ending. Katrina is a woman who knows her mind well, and is not one to back down while Aleski is an alpha male who is just as strong in personality making the clashes and run-ins so much more entertaining. One of my favorite parts of the story is when Katrina, in her ninja outfit, went out looking for the evil vampire to destroy and meets up with Aleski, well sparks fly. So take a look and decide what your favorite part is.
