Special Delivery

Tracey works from home; has done so ever since the cosmetics she was selling on the side turned into a full time job, when demand for them increased to an unforeseen high. Her deliveries have gone from once a month to once a week. Every Friday, Sam, her UPS deliveryman, brings her parcels, carries them into her office and is rewarded with refreshing lemonade. This Friday, though, she receives a shock, Sam is accompanied by someone else, and boy is he a looker. Wow, his height, those muscles, his...package. Tracey is saddened to hear that Sam is retiring, having built up a friendship with him, but nevertheless cannot stop from fantasizing about the new guy on the block, Carlos. Eagerly awaiting his next visit, Tracey can hardly think of anything else. But does she have the courage to make a move on him? Is he equally attracted to her?

Have you ever admired your deliveryman? Ever had lusty thoughts about a postal worker? Or do you just love guys in uniform? If so, then this story could be one for you. Told entirely from Tracey’s point of view, the reader has little insight into Carlos’s character but full access to Tracey’s thoughts and feelings. This tale was somewhat difficult to categorize; it is not a romance, though it is unmistakably contemporary. There is no emotional development in the story between the characters, and little character development. The characters do not fall into a relationship beyond what is now commonly termed as ‘friends with benefits’. Much of the story is Tracey’s anticipation about having sex with the new hunk of a deliveryman. The sex itself is not explicitly described and no forays are made into the areas of sex that some find objectionable, so if you dislike non-traditional sex this could be just the thing for you. Being such an abbreviated tale, if you have little time free to read or cannot keep a longer story straight in your head then this could suit you. If you hate short stories or need substantial character development to be satisfied, best stay away from this one.
