It’s All Greek To Me introduces readers to Marianne Wilson and Nick Galanapolous, lifelong friends, who have no desire to fall prey to their matchmaking mothers.

Marianne Wilson owns a coffee shop and is content with her life. Hoping to gainsay her mother, she decides to go on a double date with Nick, a divorce attorney whose mother is also giving him grief about dating. Their dates however wind up leaving together and Nick and Marianne are right back where they started. Marianne then decides to tell her mom the truth that she is not a virgin. However, this plan backfires when she tells Nick’s mother who in turn tells Nick.

Nick cannot stand by and let their mothers humiliate Marianne this way so he forces them to apologize to her. The attraction between these two begins to grow, but with Marianne’s reservations about sex due to her inexperience and her inadequate partners, Nick knows he will have to take his time and give her his understanding. After, and only after, Marianne is ready, do they enjoy a night of passion. Nick and Marianna enjoy a very sensual relationship, but with both of them having sworn off marriage, how much further will they go together?

This book has it all! It is funny, witty and has a hero to wish for. Nick is a true gentleman and although very confident he never forced Marianne into a relationship she wasn’t ready for. He is truly a character to admire. Marianne is determined to stand on her own and not be taken advantage of or take advantage of Nick and his generosity and money. Both characters added dynamics to this book that made it truly remarkable.

Although Nick and Marianne are two wonderful characters, Ms. Hamby also gives us some delightful side characters. Marianne’s three best friends will have readers laughing when they get together because there is no telling what will happen. The two matchmaking mothers can be overbearing but their antics add a definite flare to this story. It’s All Greek To Me is must read if you like a good romance that will have you smiling and feeling good when you finish reading it. Ms. Hamby deserves a recommended read for her creativity and ability to develop such unforgettable characters!
