Tavoli’s Claiming

Tavoli’s Claiming is the second story in The Portal series. This story begins where the first one left off: with Tavoli recovering from the wounds that Brisalle and Ike imposed upon him.

Tavoli has returned to the Underworld to heal after his near death battle with his former lover, Brisalle, and her mate, Ike. Now that he has overcome his wounds and regained his strength, he realizes that he must go back and face them again. Only this time he is not going back to fight them, he is going for the seductive voice that has been calling to his soul: at least the half of his soul that is not the demon in him. Making a deal with Hades himself, Tavoli has a difficult road ahead of him if he wants to save himself and have the woman he craves. However, he will pay the ultimate price if he can’t win Carmen’s heart. Will Carmen accept Tavoli for who and what he is? Which half of Tavoli will succeed: the demon or the immortal man?

Emery LaRue has created a wonderful story mixed with paranormal supernaturals and the desire to have your one true mate. This is the second installment in The Portal series and this reader can definitely say that it has added nothing but pleasure to it. Tavoli’s character is a complex one that is riddled with goodness and evil. Although, he is from the Underworld and one of their finest generals deep down inside he is a compassionate and tender lover, protective of the one he loves, and overflowing with alpha male tendencies. Tavoli will leave readers wishing for a bad boy of their own to cure. Carmen offers a beautiful character to compliment Tavoli’s personality. As this tale comes to its conclusion, the plot will intensify with danger and passion that will leave readers gripped to their seats and refusing to move until the last page. Tavoli’s Claiming is an outstanding story and series that I would recommend. 5 Angels!
