Ghosts of Christmas Past

Calla has given up. Christmas is everywhere and she cannot take it anymore. Her job doesn’t keep her in food and her apartment doesn’t even have a working shower. On a rooftop she has decided to end it as she steps to the edge of the roof, she changes her mind, but Mother Nature has her hand in and the wind knocks her off the roof. Imagine Calla’s surprise when she doesn’t hit the pavement, but instead find’s herself in the arms of an amazingly gorgeous man, a flying man?

Daniel has taken a companion every Christmas for the past twenty years and has picked Calla as his next. When he saw her go to the roof he couldn’t believe it when she jumped, thankfully it was close enough to the full moon and he was able to fly and catch her. He needs the company through Christmas and really wants it to be Calla. Can these two face their Christmas ghosts and go on?

I really enjoyed this book. Cricket Starr takes holiday depression and brings it to a whole new level. The heart-breaking story that Calla tells Daniel is just so emotional. I caught myself tearing up a few times through this book. Daniel has his own sad story to tell as well. This was a great story where two wounded souls were given the chance to heal. There was emotion as well as steam in Ghosts of Christmas Past and even though it was only fifty-four pages long, this was a great read.
