This is the last rodeo of the season and TJ Maguire was already late for a phone conference with the PR firm. TJ has run Bar T Rodeos, owned by her dad, since she was eighteen and has long ago given up the fantasy life of a husband, kids, and a home. She worked long and hard for her father and it didn’t help that she was big with red hair and very outspoken. While running to the trailer for her conference, TJ runs into a tall handsome cowboy, Hank Beltane that wants her to reinstate him for the rodeo. TJ is used to men trying to intimidate her and refuses to change her mind on disqualifying him, only to have Hank start following her around. When the attraction between them starts growing out of control, TJ begins to wonder if it’s about the disqualification or something more.

The Harder They Fall is an exciting and passionate story, full of erotic encounters that will have you wishing for a cowboy of your own. Hank and TJ’s attraction to one another is apparent from the beginning and only gets hotter as the story progresses. Since giving up on her fantasy of a home and husband, TJ picks her men carefully, only keeping them around for one night until Hank shows up and wont leave. TJ realizes that Hank only wants his disqualification lifted but that doesn’t stop her from developing feelings for him. Hank knows there is more to life than rodeos and realizes that TJ is everything he has ever wanted in a woman. Now he only has to convince her that he wants her for herself and no other reason.

I loved watching TJ and Hank interact together and discover their feelings were more than just lust. Beth Williamson has created a story that is sure to please. With its incredible characters and smooth writing style, The Harder They Fall has plenty of heart-felt emotions and humor.
