Lily Weller has seen how loving someone can hurt. Her father has been abusive to her mother all of Lily’s life. Lily does not want any man to have that kind of power over her. The feelings that Marc Gossnor evokes in her are not something Lily ever expected. Marc wants to control Lily and have revenge on those who shunned him in the past. She cannot escape the desire she has for him and could easily find herself in love with him, but she must remain in control. Lily finds that loving someone does not have to hurt, but soon wonders if Marc’s plans for revenge will get him killed.

Marc has returned to his hometown to extract revenge on those who treated him and his family horribly. Lily was one of the few people who did not treat him like an outcast. Marc wants Lily and he intends to have her. When Lily relinquishes control over to him, she will see just how explosive they can be. While Marc works to right past wrongs, someone decides that he must be eliminated. Lily is put in the line of danger and Marc wonders if revenge will have too high a cost.

Lily’s Surrender is a wonderful story of love overcoming all. Ms. Andrews and Ms. Matthews have created an unforgettable couple in Lily and Marc. While this is the third book in a trilogy, it can be read alone, although the two previous titles are just as wonderful as this one. The chemistry between Marc and Lily is evident from the beginning as their passion explodes and a very strong emotional bond is created. Marc and Lily each have to deal with emotional barriers from their past and are able to do so with each other’s help. I enjoyed the chemistry between Marc and Lily and the bits of mystery that the authors laced through this wonderful tale.
