Anya’s Dream

The end of Anya Smith’s five-year plan is quickly approaching and she has not accomplished nearly all she had planned. When she lands the job as choreographer to rock band Bone Cold - Alive she is determined to be a success. Surely, she can teach a group of testosterone driven men how to move. Too bad she didn’t consider the effect all those muscles and hormones would have on her.

Bo Bailey has to agree with the other members of BCA, they move just fine. Their female fans don’t seem to have any complaints hence they don’t need a choreographer, regardless of how good she looks in her tights. Of course, his plan to get rid of her is thwarted by his inability to play the bad guy. Can he find a way to have his cake and eat it too?

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I picked up Anya’s Dream; however, the idea that a would-be ballerina was going after her dreams by training a rock band to dance tempted my imagination. The author easily delivers the romance the back cover hints at, plus so much more. Given the close nature of Bone Cold – Alive, it would be impossible to tell the story of one of their own falling in love without including the others. Their interference will have you running the gamut of emotion. The men’s antics border on childish hilarity at some points while at other times the poignancy of deep friendship will move the reader. The relationship between Anya and Bo is not smooth or easy and therefore is more believable for both their doubts. I like that Anya was not cowed by his fame or his past and had him working hard to win her. The subplots play nicely into the overall story and make this a romance readers will be glad they take time to read.
