She’s Got Legs
Daria Wyatt hated high school and now she hates her sister, Kara, for making her go to her high school reunion. She has no business going back, but the shoes she stole from her sister’s closet are giving her a wicked feeling of wantonness and making Daria feel she can do whatever she wants. Although fifteen years have passed, there is one man who she still thinks of very fondly, Greg McCauley, the man she tutored in French class. The shoes make her wild and adventurous, yet still has the lanky, shy girl she used to be in school inside of her. She’s grown up but still feels like a girl instead of the beautiful women that Greg sees in her. When the clock strikes twelve, will Greg still want her or would he turn into a toad like he used to be in high school?
He sees the woman calling herself Elaine Benes, but he knows that’s not her real name. I mean come on, everybody knows ‘Seinfeld’. What intrigues him is that she quickly got under his skin. Greg knows she’s familiar but can’t figure out why, he only knows that he must have at her at no cost. Even though they had a short time with each other, he knows that she’s the woman for him; beautiful and intelligent. One thing he knows is that he will never forget the ugly purple heels with sequins she wore, He will do anything he can to keep her forever.
She’s Got Legs by Amanda Brice is not your typical Cinderella story; it’s got two people that have a chance to make it a relationship. The only bad thing about the story was that it cut off too soon. I mean, all we see is Greg finally finding his mysterious Elaine Benes, but that’s it. We don’ know if there’s a happily ever after or not, just that she’s shocked to see Greg. All in all it was a good book, but too short. I did enjoy the comedy with the mistaken identities and Greg’s determination to find his woman.
