Rosemary Cecilia Williams is an independent woman who could make her own decisions but now finds herself in a fix. If she could reverse time, she would find life somewhere else and just start over. She should have listened to her parents and brother instead of jumping into a relationship with boyfriend, Felix, who was nothing but a drunken loser and an abusive creep who enjoyed using her like a punching bag. She wishes more than anything she could find another life elsewhere filled with eternal bliss before she dies in the filthy apartment by his pounding fists. After a severe beating, Rosemary finds herself in an unconscious mode with an onset of vertigo as she thrifts into a dark pavilion. When she awakes, she discovers she is in the dungeon of a medieval castle with some medieval warriors wishing to make her a nice sexual meal. Now she wonders how she can escape this trauma. Is this world any different than the one she left? When she is confronted by Geoff, and twin brother, Mathieu, they take her in and care for her wounds. As days pass, she finds herself slowly falling in love. Her heart really cares for Geoff, but with Mathieu she would always be protected. Somehow everything unfolds within the cards and she has no desire to fall upon hard times again. Even though she doesn’t understand the spirit world that she has entered, she has no desire to return to her present world and that life with Felix. As her life envelopes around Geoff and Mathieu, what she imagined would last forever only once more strikes with disaster again, showing her that in life the act of love can carry on through adversity.

Roses Never Fade is a very entertaining read. I found the character of Rosemary thoroughly invigorating and the ordeal that she must face each day only makes her stronger. Her actions and emotions are so dramatic; one can almost feel the things she must endure and throughout her hardship, she still puts up a fight to hold onto life. Mathieu and Geoff with their own problems display much awareness that the reader can come to feel, as well. This intense story is full of fast moving dialogue and keeps the readers interest as Geoff and Mathieu try to heal her tormented soul while discovering a lasting love. Ms. Lunaris generates events that engage all the way to the final conclusion. The way she sketches the love scenes show a sensitive side to the characters in their relationship. She pens an uplifting read that grabs and takes the reader on one incredible journey not soon forgotten in this mesmerizing fantasy.
