Princess Otillia was being taken away from her family because she refused to marry someone whom her father picked out for her. She jumped off the ship that was taking her away and swam to an island she saw in the distance. She had no idea what she would find on the island but it had to be better then being sold to the highest bidder, her fate should she stay on the boat. But Princess Otillia never expected to find Cycophalis. He’s a large man and she was intrigued by him. He only had one eye but she saw beauty beyond the deformity. Otillia wanted his body and his love, but she knew that Cycophalis had been hurt by others and his love would be hard to get. But she was determined to make him see she was serious. Could she get Cycophalis to see past his disfigurement to the beauty inside himself?

Cycophalis was fishing when he saw someone drop off the ship that was passing his island. He didn’t want anyone on the island but he sat and watched the “man” swim towards him. When the swimmer got to the beach he went to help and found that the swimmer was a woman, a beautiful one. He picked up the naked woman and took her back to his cave. Cycophalis wanted this woman but he was afraid that he would hurt her if he touched her. But he was willing if Otillia was. He loved her but he didn’t think she would want someone who looked like him. Was he wrong?

Rod Casteel has written a great story of love and the inner beauty of a person with Island Oasis. I loved this story. I couldn’t put the book down. Otillia was wonderful with Cycophalis. She saw the beauty that was inside of Cycophalis and did not see the disfigurement that he has. Cycophalis was willing to help Otillia clear her name with her family. Mr. Casteel, I hope to read more of your books in the future.
