Danielle has become part of an experimental cadre of troops; she’s been genetically and surgically enhanced to become a super soldier. Only one thing is missing to bring this experiment to a close; the blood of a vampire. Bjorn has been brought to a secret laboratory for the sole purpose of donating blood. As a centuries old vampire he is understandably unhappy about being brought there against his will. When the experiment goes awry, Danielle finds herself in the morgue and fighting an urge to protect the very vampire that she should want to see in captivity.

What follows is an erotic romp through Europe with Bjorn and Danielle learning each others strengths and weaknesses while being chased by the military.

This was a roller coaster ride with some extremely kick-butt fight scenes. Immortalis is a fast-paced book that brings readers right into the action with well-detailed backgrounds and dialogue that pops. I enjoyed the science fiction aspects of this book and the tongue-in-cheek humor in some of the scenarios. Nathalie Gray has penned another gritty story that has, at its heart, a sweet romance. I truly hope that there will be another book detailing the adventures of Danielle and Bjorn.
