Rogue Angel: Destiny
In Alex Archer’s Rogue Angel: Destiny, Annja Creed’s curiosity and fascination with ancient times has her traveling around the world in search of answers to historical mysteries and legends. While in France, searching for clues about the legend of La Bete, Annja is almost kidnapped, falls into a cavern, and discovers an ancient charm. As she attempts to figure out who the charm belong to and why it was in the cavern, a local drug dealer and a clandestine group of monks strive to stop her and steal the charm.
Rogue Angel: Destiny is a riveting, fast-paced, suspenseful adventure through France and the past. Annja Creed reminds me of Indian Jones, but without the dislike for guns. She can hold her own against the thugs and bullies around her while unlocking the mysteries of the past. Annja Creed is a well rounded heroine with a hunger for knowledge that will keep the reader glued to the book until the very end.
Alex Archer deftly weaves history, action, and the mystical into a powerful tale of greed, secrets, and the thirst for truth. The characters and scenes were realistic while hinting at the supernatural. The mixture keeps the story lively, intense, and a joy to lose myself in. I hope this is the beginning of a series of books about Annja Creed and her discoveries.
