A New Moon

Brent thought he would be forever alone when his mate disappeared a decade and a half ago. As a werewolf, Brent has much in common with wolves: one mate for life. He has only ever been with Rhett, his mate. He knew her growing up, and never wanted anyone else. When she vanished without trace, he was devastated but managed to go on with his life. Neither he nor their family expected to ever see her again, believing her to be dead. When she turns up on his doorstep after so long, he should be shocked speechless. But with the wound she has sustained, rendering her unconscious, his main concern needs to be saving her life. Having found out she is alive, he never intends to loose her again. Later will be time enough for anger over her vanishing act, for her silence over the years…for keeping the existence of his sons from him. Even then, his anger is tempered by her return, her experience. He now wants only to protect her and their family, something that is difficult with the Werewolf Termination Squad hot on their tails. Can he protect them? Do Rhett and Brent pick up from right where they left off? Or has time resulted in irreparable damage and change to their relationship?

Rhett went through hell when she disappeared many years earlier. Kidnapped right off the street, for months she feared for her life. That time will always remain with her, for whilst she wasn't physically hurt, many others were. Nightmares have been a constant companion since those dark times. After escaping, she decided against returning to her family. She wanted to protect them, and her unborn sons. Rhett was convinced staying away from them would protect everyone that she loved. But now, she must return to her family, her pack. Her son, Tate, needs their guidance, for he has now changed into a werewolf. Her hope that the gene would by pass her sons is gone, and her only option is to return home. To the family she loves dearly and did her best to protect, to the man she has always loved and never forgot. But it seems that her return has brought danger to her family. The evil that held her long ago is once more dogging her heels. Will she be able to protect her family? What's more, this time will she allow them to help and protect her? And what of her relationship with her mate Brent - salvageable or forever lost?

A New Moon is the next and long awaited installment in the fabulous moon series by Jeigh Lynn. Yes, that's right. Those of you who have been pining for Brent's tale (like me!) need wait no longer. It's out and available (as if you didn't already know!). Ahh, don't you just love a man who is completely faithful to his mate – even when she been missing and considered dead for more than a decade and a half? It's so romantic! Sad, too, though. Brent just had to have a happy ending, and with Rhett's return that is most definitely in the cards. If only they can terminate those terminators…Yes, fans of the series will remember the Werewolf Terminator Squad, who has been plaguing the family (and long before the family was even aware of their existence, too!). But perhaps soon, they will pester them no more…As usual, fabulously written. A New Moon really grips the reader, though there is not as much on-the-edge-of-your-seat suspense as in the previous couple of stories and there are a few editorial errors. The chemistry between the characters is hot, and there is some anal play, and a teeny bit of bondage (them law enforcement handcuffs had to come in handy for something, after all). If you haven't read a Lynn, you don't know what you are missing and you really do need to get cracking. Read them all (in order, please!). You'll love the series, you'll love these brilliant life-like characters, and you'll love Lynn's style!
