All My Dreams

Loryn Salazar has endured more pain and heartache in the last few years than many people suffer in a lifetime. At the age of 31 she was widowed and left a single mother; a year later her daughter was taken from her as well. Now Loryn lives each day just trying to make it to the next. After her daughter died, Loryn moved to Majorca, nestled in the Mediterranean. She spends her time renovating her house and the vast property around her, trying to keep the memories at bay.

Derek Carlisle is in need of a place to shoot his movie and Loryn’s house is perfect. The deal being, they’ll use her house as the setting for the film and in return they’ll finish the renovations on her house for her. Derek is a woman’s fantasy come true. He’s considerate, flirtatious, and very easy to look at. As a romance starts between them, Loryn learns of her father’s death. Derek isn’t willing to let what’s happening between them go but with so much death around her, will Loryn be willing to risk her heart?

All My Dreams is a heartwarming book that I very much enjoyed. The setting and scenery are described beautifully. Both Derek and Loryn are passionate and full of life. To me, Loryn is one of the strongest heroine’s I’ve ever read. It’s stated that she’s running from her life, but as readers get to know this character, it doesn’t seem like that’s what she’s doing. After losing both her husband and her daughter, she moves away from the painful memories. That doesn’t seem like running to me, that’s doing what she has to do to survive. Readers will get so caught up in this story that Loryn’s pain is like their own. Derek is like a dream man come to life. He’s rich, famous, sexy as sin and looking for the simple pleasures in life. Jennifer Mueller has done a great job with All My Dreams. It was a fantastic story.
