Romancing Jenny

Giving your girlfriend a gift card for her birthday is not a good way to tell her you love her. However, Mark has just done that with Jenny. Here is a man who’s found THE ONE, and he messes up by listening to his best friend. He’s not usually like that, but somehow he’s in a rut and not sure exactly how to romance Jenny. He tries his hardest, but is somewhat wondering if it’s all going to work, making Jenny see that he wants her more than ever in his life as a wife, not just a girlfriend.

Jenny herself is somewhat surprised by Mark’s behavior lately. For some reason, not only is he acting strange, but she is worrying whether the big break-up will happen. She’s just turned 27 years old, and yes, her clock is ticking. She wants the dream: a picket fence, a husband who loves her, and the romance that goes with it even when they’re old. She knows Mark is her guy, but with the strange things happening and her best friend giving her advice, Jenny is thinking about where the relationship is going.

Man, this is one short story that you will love! It’s filled with (obviously) romance, but better yet, comedy. Mark and Jenny are so hopelessly in love, yet they stupidly listen to their friends. Now here are friends who really do mean well, but their antics are hilarious, for instead of pulling Mark and Jenny together, they do the opposite. I couldn’t stop laughing when Jenny relates her present ordeal to her friend and Mark to his friend. Romancing Jenny by Meg Allison is one treat of a book you’ll want to read. It’s short and sweet, yet with a lot of romance and comedy.
