Sins of Midnight

Lady Jillian Daventry is having a trauma-filled life, and she yearns to break out of the mold society wants to force her into. Several years ago, she, along with her sisters, discovered her murdered mother lying in a pool of blood. Her father has disconnected himself from society, her snooty aunt is trying to rein Jillian’s high spirits in, and her escapades threaten to ruin her sisters’ reputations as they’ve done her own. To top it all off, Jillian meets her match in the form of Mr. Connor Monroe.

Connor wants nothing to do with the black-haired, tantalizing gypsy wrapped in silks and satin ... at least nothing of which Polite Society would approve. He especially wants nothing to do with her supposed sleuthing abilities in the murder case in which he’s embroiled. Someone is systematically killing those closest to him; if Jillian were to become his, she’d be in danger as well. But when faced with this kind of temptation, what’s a poor bloke to do?

Kimberly Logan pens a sure-fire page-turner in Sins of Midnight. Her refreshing author’s voice comes through loud and clear, and she doesn’t skimp on the historical meat of this tale in any way. Fast-paced, witty, and sexy, Sins cruises along and pleases with a twisty-turning plot and a great premise. The drive and passion of Jillian is framed quite wonderfully by Connor’s stubbornness and his tormented situation. More, please! Four Angels!
