Border Lair
Adora has been thrown into an entirely new world with the mating of her daughter to two Dragon Knights. As a dangerous enemy encroaches over the borders Adora finds herself having to give up her previous life as a healer to the villagers around her cabin. Now, wounded with no home, she settles into the hectic life of the Border Lair. Thanks to her childhood friend, the dragon Kelzy, and Kelzy’s Dragon Knight Jared, she is well on her way to healing when word comes from the ranks of the enemy that a dark and dangerous magic is afoot.
Lord Darian cannot stand the depths depravity that his ruler has sunk to and takes his intel to the one man place he thinks that can stop a massacre, the Border Lair. Expecting nothing but jeers and disbelief he is relieved to find his old friend Jared at the head of the cadre of knights. With Lord Damien’s help perhaps the knights and their dragons can save the people they protect from the greedy grasp of the corrupt lord of Skithdron.
In the midst of the tense battles and sly scheming these three people come together and find that even though they had a chance at love before, the Fates have not abandoned them now.
Border Lair was a touching story about three people having to learn how to live again. Adora has been widowed and has grown children, Sir Jared has lost his wife and child and is afraid to open his heart again, and Lord Darian has left everything behind to do what is right. These three are united by the dragons they love and who love them. With her usual flair, Bianca pens an amazing story of heroism, loss, love, and renewal. Weaving together the lives of three unique people and making it believable is an enviable talent and I cannot wait until the next books are out. The ONLY things that I found frustrating about Border Lair were the story threads that she almost tauntingly left hanging.
