Lady Winifred Samford is in her first season when she first meets Ransom, the Earl of Leahaven, and loses her heart. Now five years later he returns to society, and back into her life. Ransom, the Earl of Leahaven, took a bet that he could sweet talk Lady Winifred into accepting his proposal of marriage from his friend Lord Anterton. Ransom goes after Winifred because of the bet, but when he proposes he means it. Lord Anterton knows nothing good could come out of this so he talks Ransom out of it and they hurt Winifred painfully by breaking the engagement. Ransom turns his back on her and he regrets it everyday since. Ransom lets Lady Neely talk him into rejoining society and he runs into Winifred. Ransom still loves her but he does not how to tell her this. Things start to heat up between them and then someone tries to kill Winifred. Ransom must take desperate measures to save her. Will Winifred believe in love once again? Will Ransom find the person trying to hurt Winifred?

Jodici Belle has got a great read on her hands. A Devil’s Proposal is one hot, action-packed romance. Ransom is a sensual hero that is confused and head-over-heels in love with Winifred. Winifred a very strong heroine that will give Ransom his much deserved punishment for what he has done. A Devil’s Proposal is a historical romance that sizzles and rocks. Ms. Belle has an awesome talent for telling a hot story that will hook the readers and keep them hooked until the very end. A Devil’s Proposal will keep the readers on an emotional roller coaster ride and have them coming back for more. Ms. Belle has got some fantastic characters that will have you screaming for more and crying when they come to the end of this fantastic read. A Devil’s Proposal is a historical romance reader’s dream and it has the spice to make everything nice. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book and see what Ms. Belle will have in store for us.
