Amelia's normal life disappeared when she was twelve years old and witnessed the brutal murder of her father, a corrupt police officer. She ended up being adopted and raised by the people that approved of the assassination.Amelia was raised in an often cruel household, with the goal of her eventually working for them. This lead her to be a successful, cold-blooded hitwoman for the mob. She almost takes pleasure in the rush of killing the people who are her " assignment." Soon, her spiritual side makes her start to rethink her priorites. Amelia is almost thirty, and would like to leave this type of lifestyle behind. She's like to perhaps one day marry and have a child of her own. After one hit leaves her a bit shaken up, she discovers that she is being set up for an " unauthorized" murder.


Amelia does not know who to trust in this shady business. To make things even more difficult, Devin, a man she has been lusting for, might have been hired to kill her. If she wants to find love and happiness,she has to discover who wants her dead. The object of her unrequited love, Devin, might be found trustworthy if he's not as directly involved as she thinks.Or maybe the sources are right, and he is really going to kill her. But why?How many others want her dead?

Amelia is a hardened, almost jagged character. She is not one to swoon at danger, and in fact,gives the reader quite an adrenaline rush of their own as she races throughout the suspects who might want her dead. No one is perfect or completely innocent in this book, which makes it an intense and top of the line suspenseful. The romance is there as well, and is a very nice addition to a rather sharp-edged plot. The extreme twists and turns in this novel will keep the reader engrossed and completely on the edge of their seats. Crying Blood is the type of novel you will want to own in both ebook and paperback format, because it is that good!
