Jinx is a Muse, working for Immortality, Inc. Her life has been far from smooth, and she had thought she had finally found a man who would take up a permanent place in her life. That is, until she found him in a highly compromising position with two of her Muse sisters. She lost no time in dumping him. Whilst she has continued dating other men, there seems to be something missing. She realizes that she misses Gil, but has been hurt by him and so is determined to keep him at arms length. The strange thing is he seems to be stalking her. He turns up every where she goes, sending her gifts and flowers – and now a massive decorated Christmas tree that won’t fit through her door! Enough is enough; this has got to stop!

Gil has found the love of his life in Jinx, but thanks to a practical joke he has lost her. He is not about to sit back and do nothing, though, whilst the love of his life slips through his fingers. All his attempts to get her back are failing and it is time to bring out the big guns. With the help of his friends, will Gil manage to make this the best Christmas in Jinx’s living memory? Can he win back the woman he has lost? Will this man, known as Chaos to those who know him, pull off the success of his life?

This is my first Lynn Warren tale but I am most definitely interested in reading more! Chaos at Christmas is part of the Immortality Inc series, which I have not yet read but fully intend to do. I would advise reading the others before this one, for much background knowledge about the characters and the Immortality Inc. Company is sure to be provided in them. This would help you to follow the plotline of Chaos at Christmas a little better. This information I have only been able to glean a little of by reading the blurbs of the other stories. Chaos at Christmas is a fabulous short story that comes head and shoulders above all the other short stories I have read. This festive Christmas tale is sure to get you laughing, for the humor in this tale is constant and real. Gil is a man who wants his woman back, and is willing to go to extremes to attain his goal. He is truly a character you could love, whilst Jinx is someone you can empathize with and like very much. There is some sex but it is not overly explicit and is used as a demonstration and celebration of the characters’ love for one another. If you are a fan of Immortality Inc, you shouldn’t miss Chaos at Christmas!
