Torrid Teasers Volume 3: Cabin Fever & Careful Wishes

Cabin Fever by Susan K. Droney
When Kayla North’s car is run off the road during a blizzard, she’s stranded. She deserts her car to find shelter from the storm, only things don’t go quite according to plan. Kayla passes out from her exertions, only to awaken in the warmth of a strange bed. Discombobulated and a bit nervous, Kayla isn’t sure if she should trust Lucas Williams, the man who rescued her. The only thing she knows for sure is that she is very attracted to him. Could her turbulent rescue turn into something special?

Cabin Fever is a fun and carnal story of what happens when the power goes out and animal lust comes to the fore. Kayla and Lucas share some strong chemistry and really light up the pages when they interact together. In spite of the unusual circumstances that brought them together, Susan K. Droney makes their union seem loving, even though they are virtual strangers. Cabin Fever is definitely a tempting read.

Careful Wishes by Sherrill Quinn
Donovan Miles thought he was falling in love with Adelaide Langdon. However, when he discovers that she can communicate with animals, his disbelieving mind throws up a stop sign and he dumps her. He had enough of his flaky, supposed supernatural mother growing up, and he wants no part of her Dr. Doolittle abilities. Adelaide is heartbroken but can’t help thinking this is for the best if he can’t accept her for who she is. Unfortunately, her heart doesn’t want to let go of Donovan. Will he come to his senses before he loses Adelaide for good?

Donovan and Adelaide will steal your heart from the moment you read their story! Though there’s some pain involved in their relationship, it makes what they feel all that much more realistic. Pain and love often go hand in hand, and I commend Sherrill Quinn for portraying their turbulent relationship so accurately. These two characters also share some smart dialogue and plenty of scorching love scenes to really enhance the storyline. This was my personal favorite of the anthology, though in all honesty, both stories are enjoyable and fun reads.
