Master of Wolves

Jim London is in Clarkston investigating the death of his childhood friend. He’s gone undercover as the new K-9 officer, but not on the side of the leash that you’d think. He is the new drug dog and has found it a lot harder to investigate when all he can think of is his new handler. However, the stink of death magic is all over the other officers in the department and the criminals are afraid to be jailed. The rumor is that a witch will steal your heart; literally.

Faith Weston is puzzled by the amazing intelligence of their new drug dog, Rambo. He almost seems to understand everything she says, not just the commands that most dogs are taught. He has an uncanny instinct for knowing just where the drugs are hidden. Other things have recently taken her mind off of their abnormally intelligent dog. The other officers in the department are showing signs of an illness, and they all have the same symptoms. How often does an entire department come down with an illness except for one officer, Faith herself? When Faith finds herself face to face with an unbelievable situation, her entire life is turned around and the unbelievable becomes the norm.

Master of Wolves chronicles the ongoing trials and tribulations of the Mageverse and its denizens. They have been fighting the onslaught of vampires created by the Black Grails and are losing. Unless they find a Black Grail and destroy it and the vampires created by it, life on Earth will be hell. I have been in love with these characters and this storyline since they were introduced in "Seduction's Gift," a novella in the Hot Blooded anthology. They have never failed to fascinate me and they just get better and more complicated. I cannot wait for the next book in this series.
