Alchemist’s Potion

Aged and time-worn Julian of Wimborne Minster is an alchemist seeking the famed Philosopher’s Stone; it’s his life’s work. Soon, he stumbles upon a potion that can turn back the clock, and he uses it on himself to regain the physique and stature of a younger man. He’s enamored of his chatelaine, the impoverished Phillipa of Wareham, a well-formed widow with secrets of her own, and his discovery and transformation enables him to bed her repeatedly and well.

But the discovery also brings danger – strangers lurking about hoping for a cure, an accidental death, the possibility of being accused of witchcraft, and the unwanted notice of the king. The king wants the renewing potion to form an army of young and strong warriors to fight his battles, and then he asks even more from Julian...

Alchemist’s Potion blends court intrigue, passion, and the quest for knowledge into one sexy story. Julian is one of the most conflicted characters I’ve ever read about, with his expansive abilities, his fear and his low level of self-confidence. He is, however, charming and endearing as he muddles through the notoriety brought forth by his potion. Phillipa is a strong woman trying to make her own way in a time of hard living and a regent with a long memory for duplicity. Bonnie Hamre will win you over with this tale! 4 Angels!
