Entangled

Kiera Stevens has been groomed for the head spot at kidTek for as long as she can remember. When an Asian company beats kidTek to the store shelves with a unique product, Kiera knows she has a problem with corporate espionage. Turning to her friend Dillon seems the wisest course of action. Dillon asks his friend and former black ops compatriot, John "Lantis" Atlantis, to go in and plug the holes in her security system.

Lantis is surprised to hear Dillon request his help, but he can’t see himself turning down a friend in need. In order to have a successful entry into the company without alerting anyone inside, Lantis comes up with the bright idea of playing Kiera's lover. The instant these two meet, the sparks flare. Lantis is ingenious in finding ways to make Kiera seem more comfortable around him, and, as things progress, they both are fighting an attraction that burns white hot. When a firewall spell binds them even closer, they both wonder if being entangled is such a terrible thing.

I'd never heard of Kathleen Dante, but I was intrigued by the blurb for this book; I was absolutely blown away by this story. Halfway through the book, I stopped and e-mailed her to tell her that it was SO good that I had to praise her for it. Not only was the plot intense and uniquely written, but the characters were so fully realized that I expected them to pop through my screen. Lately I have become slightly jaded by all of the different descriptions for what is ultimately the same act (Tab A only goes into Slot B so many ways), but Ms. Dante kept me intrigued throughout her entire book. I say "Bravo!" for such a phenomenal book. Kathleen Dante has very definitely cemented a spot on my auto-buy list from now on.
