Eternal Nights

Jarved 9 is an amazing outpost full of intriguing artifacts and a tomb that has baffled scientists for years. The settlement on the planet has all of the appearances of being a thriving city that was suddenly abandoned. Captain Kendall Thomas has been involved in the cataloguing and storing of the artifacts found in the tomb and has been seeing some disturbing trends when it comes to the records. Artifacts have been intentionally mislabeled or completely erased from the system. With only her gut as a guide, she has been documenting and logging all of her research into this and has been trying to get up the courage to bring her suspicions to the base commander.

Captain Wyatt Montgomery is the leader of a Special Forces team that has been stationed at Jarved 9. Since he was little, he’s had the knowledge of his previous life as a guard in love with a priestess denied to him. Their forbidden love has haunted him his entire life and he hopes to one day find his lost love. When fate puts Zolianna’s soul in his path in the form of Captain Kendall Thomas, Wyatt knows that he has found his soul mate. Now he has to convince a woman with no knowledge of her previous life that they are meant to be together.

In the midst of a terrible situation, these two are thrown together and are dependent on their previous lives to save themselves now.

Eternal Nights is an absolutely amazing read. The intricate world that Patti O’Shea had created in Ravyn’s Flight is brought back and expanded upon. The fascinating culture, landscape, and mythology of Jarved 9 are portrayed with such detail that it seems as if it is a real place. I was completely enthralled from the beginning of this book until the end. I had not read Ravyn’s Flight first, so do not feel that you must in order to understand Eternal Nights, but I absolutely plan on purchasing it when it is re-released in August. The characters of Wyatt and Kendall were the perfect mix of strength and vulnerability. Both of them had baggage that added depth to their backgrounds and their personalities. Not only were the main characters well written, but the secondary characters were very well done as well. I can only hope that this world will yield many more stories. Because of the richness of the characters, the fascinating plot, and the detailed backdrop I gladly give Eternal Nights 5 Angels and a Recommended Read rating.
