You’ll be the Death of Me

Allison Leavitt is a famous author but no one knows it. She is a shy reclusive who is afraid to get close to anyone because she has been hurt in the past. Working on her seventh book about Ben Stark, the main character of her novels, she plans how to use the profits from this book. Not wanting Allison to finish her book because she always cries when a character is killed off, her best friend Paige, decides to take Allison’s attention away from the book. In fact, Paige distracts her with her own murder; Allison must find the clues and solve the murder. When Birdie Talbot, Allison’s landlady, hears a scream and goes and gets a neighbor who is a police detective, things really get complicated. Throw in Birdie’s show dog named Ping and a whole lot of trouble, and you’ve got one story to tell. Now will Allison see her dream come true with a little help from her friends?

Jay Cantrall is a police officer from L.A. who was transferred because he got involved with the wrong woman. Because most women want to get close to him in order to meet his famous twin brother, the British Soap Opera actor, Jay does not trust women. Paige talks him into helping Allison solve her murder mystery and more than murder and clues start happening between them. All Jay wants to do is get this case over with so he can go back to L.A. Between Ping, the terrorist dog, his landlady hating him and Allison’s pull on him, will he survive his transfer?
