Pull My Hair
Liza has pulled herself up from the projects where she used to live. She is smart, fun, educated, and madly in love with her husband. But lately their marriage has been on a dangerous downward spiral. Liza knows she has not been as honest with her husband as she should have, but she does not feel like that excuses his constant neglect of their marriage.
Greg is smart, caring, loving, sexy, and works hard to take care of his wife. But lately he does not understand her. He feels like she is a stranger and not the loving woman he married, and he knows she is keeping things from him. As much as he wants to care for her, he still has to work. Greg wants his wife to love him the way he loves her, but he does not see how that is going to happen if she won’t open up and talk to him about her past.
Liza and Greg both have to come together and talk about what is important in their marriage or they will not have one. Can two people who seemed so right for each other in the beginning be so wrong? And will the truth set them free or tear them apart? Marriage is about more than giving and taking. It is about sacrifice and the ability to compromise and communications. Will Greg and Liza discover this before it is too late?
I thought this was a beautifully told story with wonderfully rich characters. I was beyond impressed with how the authors was able to bring the story to life with such lively dialogue and show us the difficulties, and the wonders of marriage. Pull My Hair is wonderfully written, with just enough snap to keep the story believable. The plot was well told and the story passionately written. It is sometimes hard to find stories such as these, but this author delivered. Kimberly Kaye Terry has made this story come alive and has taught that no matter where you come from you can make it in life. She has also taught that trust, love, and understanding are but a few foundations in a relationship. I loved this story. This is my first book from this author and I must say that from now on I plan to have her at the top of my must have list. Brava Mrs. Terry! Brava!
