Cody Marx has been refinishing floors with her dad since she was a teenager and he has never let her work a job by herself until now. Cody is excited about having a chance to show her dad she can do a great job without him watching over her. She only hopes that her ex-boyfriend Drew Evans, who is the contractor on the remolding job, won’t give her any more trouble.

When Cody arrives at the MacKenzie place to start her first day of work by her self, she learns that she will be working with her old high school flame Jared Creed. Cody and Jared drifted apart when his brother started getting into trouble and Jared started pulling away from her. Now that they have met again will these two be able to reconnect?

Smooth Finish is a great book that has everything you need for a great bedtime story. There is plenty of sexual tension, adventure, and mystery. I found the characters in this book easy to like and the plot exciting and easily followed. Author Adrianna Dane always creates such appealing books that it makes me eager to immerse myself in her worlds again and again. If you are looking for a short story that will get the juices flowing while drawing you into the characters’ world, then be sure to pick up Smooth Finish.
