Tracy Warden goes with her brother, Cascadia Pack Enforcer Lex and his mate Nina to oversee a dispute moderation and meets Nick Lawrence, the Pacific Pack Enforcer…and her mate. Although she’s thrilled to have found him, there are a few issues that need to be addressed. First and foremost is finding an anchor, another werewolf with Nick’s rank or above, to bond with Tracy to protect her if anything should happen to Nick. National Pack Mediator, Gabe Murphy volunteers but their bond turns out to be much more. Although rare, Tri-Mate Bonds do exist. Now Tracy, Nick and Gabe must figure out all of the intricacies of their bond while at the same time figure out why the members of the Pacific Pack seem to be out to get Tracy.

First, let me say that no one does ménage like Lauren Dane. The emotional and physical aspects of building a relationship between three characters can be difficult but is very well done in Tri Mates. These three characters are Alphas with strong personalities. Yet they fit together and seem to complete each other. I love that none of the characters are typical. From Tracy with her tattoos and piercings to Nick with his meticulousness and playboy attitude and last but not least, Gabe and his dominating sexuality, they are all so realistic even considering that they’re werewolves. Their love and need for each other surpasses anything they had ever imagined. When the corruption in Nick’s Pack is brought to light, these three new Tri Mates stand together and show just how strong their love really is. The pace of this story is just right, blending action, intrigue, confusion and pain along with a big dose of sex. Tri Mates is a story I will read again and again and would recommend to anyone.
