Daniel Burns is an extraordinary being and unlike anything anyone has ever come across. He is from another dimension, and strictly speaking he's not a man or indeed, even a human. Rather, he's a complex form of energy and information. He has been drawn to Christine, and has made it his mission to help her evolve to the next level. But what does he have to teach her, and does she have anything to teach him?

Best Laid Plans is unlike any paranormal romance I have ever come across. Constance O'Day-Flannery has crafted a tale that is 100% unique, entirely engaging and completely out of this world – in more ways than one! Best Laid Plans is an alternative romance, but doubtless unlike any you have ever read before. Throw out your ideas of normal; alter your view of what a relationship should consist of. Best Laid Plans will require an open mind, but once you've started reading, you are bound to find yourself open to anything – and amazed at Constance O'Day-Flannery's vivid and fabulous imagination. Ms O'Day-Flannery's use of physics is highly intriguing, though slightly hard to follow if physics is not your thing. Nevertheless, Best Laid Plans is a marvelous tale that will keep you reading. All of the characters have been excellently developed. I loved the closeness between Christine and her five girlfriends, who call themselves the Yellow Brick Road Gang. All of the characters are very life like, and Daniel in particular is sure to capture your imagination. The plot flows smoothly and is packed to bursting, though doesn't feel overwhelming or as if Ms O'Day-Flannery has tried to cram too much in. There is some lovemaking, and it does get described, though not in a coarse or graphic way – and not always in a physical manifestation. Highly unusual and unique, with a great storyline, Best Laid Plans shows that no plan is set in stone. I will definitely be getting a hold of more from Constance O'Day-Flannery, and I cannot wait for the rest of this promising trilogy!
