Touch Of Desire
Sarah Tamony is fascinated by all things magical. She loves nothing more than researching forgotten myths and legends, collating them into books for other’s reading pleasure. Her works are popular all over the world; her lifestyle intrigues many. The twenty-seven year old daughter of a well known noble scholar, she and her family have traveled far and wide for many years and are now visiting Great Britain after a long absence. Sarah intends to use the visit to complete research for her next book. She has a particular interest in the Seymours. But will her research go smoothly? And will Sarah find more than she bargained for?
To Society, Malachi Seymour is the Earl of Graymar. Yet he is man with many secrets, for he is also a Great Sorcerer, known to magic mortals as the Dewin Mawr, ruler of the families who pledge him allegiance. The existence of his kind is kept secret from mere mortals, though Sympathisers know and aid them. The arrival of Sarah Tamony threatens to expose them to the world, and this is something Malachi cannot allow. He uses his influence as Earl to block her research attempts, yet her determination to learn perseveres. But Sarah is to be more to Malachi than a nuisance, for she is the woman he has yearned for. She may also be the key to helping Malachi destroy a terrible evil. But will Malachi’s pride allow him to accept these truths?
Susan Spencer Paul’s Touch Of Desire is a fabulous and unique historical paranormal romance that will intrigue you, keeping your attention throughout and make you want to read more of this brilliant series. Though Touch Of Desire is my first by Susan Spencer Paul, I’ve no doubt it won’t be my last, for I’ve loved all of these characters and crave to read more of their tales. Luckily for me, more are currently available. Though I’ll be reading them out of sequence, thus know the details of some of the plots already, I shall not allow this to put me off, for I know that I’ll enjoy each story on its own merits. Touch Of Desire could be read as a stand alone, but I promise you that you’ll enjoy the tale so much you will also want to read them all – if you haven’t already (though doubtless the whole series is bound for your keeper shelf, to be reread time and again). Part of what makes this tale so great is that we hear the story from multiple character viewpoints, villains included. As a result, the plot is enriched and tension is sparked. There is some sex, which fits the plotline and adds some sensuality to the tale. Touch Of Desire is a must for any paranormal fan, and doubtless the whole series stands an excellent chance at becoming a much-loved favorite.
