Moving On
Aptly titled, Moving On, is a heated recounting of one woman's decision to live her life on her terms and the wonderful surprise she discovers on the way.
Rachel Allen hopes moving into her own house will quell her mother's constant nagging as well as remove any lingering traces of her failed relationship. She never dreamed the direction her life would take or the passion she would discover when the first box of belongings is placed on the moving truck.
Moving On delivers a quick read filled with passion and promise. The focus of this story is Rachel. She is a likeable, straightforward character. I enjoyed how she is taking control of her life and is not afraid to tell people what to do. Malcolm Cohen is an atypical hero that fits her perfectly. This buff man has much more going on than muscles. His sensitivity and loyalty seem at odds with the abrasive, uncaring individuals of his job, and yet he is just what Rachel needs. The remaining characters are rather one-dimensional but they help move Rachel and Malcolm forward. Lacey Savage does well showcasing the instant chemistry between them and then building it into something more. For a quick read, this hits the spot.
