Driving Me Insane
Angela Warren was born to be a mechanic. Working in the family company, Warren Manufacturing, she has had to work her socks off to prove herself capable in what is traditionally a man's work arena. Even so, she all too often comes across those who doubt her capabilities. As the best mechanic in the company, it is she who is sent to problem solve when Rick Monroe's racecar is involved in a serious accident on the track. Having conversed with him for three years over the internet and phone, Angela is looking forward to meeting Rick. She is unprepared for the sizzling attraction between them and Rick's determination to seduce her.
Rick has been trying to meet Angela ever since they first spoke; yet one thing or another has always gotten in the way. When they finally do meet, it is not under the best of circumstances. Rick's racecar has been in two accidents, which could easily have resulted in fatalities. A Warren oil pump seems to be at fault, and he is furious with the company. Seeing that Warren Manufacturing has sent a female mechanic, he remains doubtful that she is their best, as they claim – even when he realises that she is Angela, the knowledgeable company mechanic he has often conversed and flirted with over the last three years. In person, she is more gorgeous than he imagined and he is determined to bed her. But will he want more than a temporary bed partner? And will he come to trust in Angela's mechanical abilities?
Driving Me Insane is fabulous novella that is intricately laced with the racecar circuit. If you're a racing fan, you have got to read this book! Even if you're not, like myself, (I haven't a clue) you will still enjoy this fabulous read. Driving Me Insane is full of technical detail, but not so much that will overload the reader except maybe the prologue. It comes through very clearly that either the author is a big fan, or has done a lot of research. The tale itself flows very smoothly and is well paced. The characters are fully developed, very likeable and will leave you wanting more. I cannot wait to get my hands on the two linked tales to this (I've done some investigating of my own :-) ). Indeed, I am vastly looking forward to my next Monet read. Sex scenes are described in full. They are both steamy and fairly varied, and are sure to get your own engines running. For an exceptional read with a fantastic plot and sensual sex scenes, collect your own copy of Rae Monet's Driving Me Insane ASAP!
